SALLY BEAUTY DISTRIBUTES FUNDS TO SUPPORT
DOMESTIC ABUSE SHELTERS ACROSS THE U.S.
In honor of Sally Beauty’s celebration of its 40th year in the professional beauty business, the company has awarded $40,000 to 24 domestic abuse shelters in need across the country. Sally Beauty Cares regularly distributes beauty products to 42 shelters in 26 states and these organizations were invited to apply for grants from this special fund. Each of the selected shelters in 19 states received a gift ranging from $5,000 to $1,000 to assist an assortment of needs from direct personal services and counseling for clients to basic operating funds.
Begun in 1996, the Sally Beauty Cares program was created by Sally Beauty Company to provide personal care assistance and important guidance to women in need.
Sally Beauty Cares Shelter Program supplies grooming and beauty products generously donated by Sally vendors to more than 40 women's shelters nationwide.
Sally Beauty Cares Seminars offer hands-on grooming and beauty advice and services to help women in need that are seeking employment or education.
Sally Beauty Company also raises money to support breast cancer research through the City of Hope.
