Sally Beauty recently announced the recipients of the ten Sally Beauty Scholarships for 2009 at the Chicago America’s Beauty Show. The National Cosmetology Association (NCA) Scholarship Committee selected from a pool of over 200 applicants, the talented individuals who will each receive $1,000 for their education.
Since 1992, Sally has been committed to supporting the beauty industry by providing seed monies to recent high school graduates for cosmetology school. To date, Sally Beauty has awarded over $170,000 in scholarships to deserving salon professionals and students.
This year, opportunities for scholarships fall into three categories. Three awards are for continuing education for a salon professional, two prizes are to fund post secondary education for children or grandchildren of NCA members, and the remaining five awards are to fund cosmetology education for high school graduates under the age of 25.
